The festivities start with a full day of fun at the Santa Watch Party in the Municipal Parking Lot, corner of Eligin/Larch Streets with many children’s activities being offered.  The parade itself begins at 5:30 pm sharp on Saturday November 18th winding its way through the downtown core of the city with this year’s magical Christmas theme Merry Christmas Canada! Happy 150th Birthday.  Come out and watch the parade of lights and sounds leading up to our very special guest Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer.  The direction of the parade has been reversed this year with a dynamic display of fireworks lighting up the Sudbury Saturday Night at the commencement of the parade.
